These are challenging times for public higher
education across the country, and the issues are no less
important for
the University
of Oklahoma and the College of Arts and Sciences. Despite
our firm resolve to be good stewards of our resources, costs
continue to rise for students as resources from the state become
scarcer. Yet we continue to strive to provide our students
with the best educational opportunities anywhere to prepare
them for fulfilling lives and service to their community,
state and nation.
The importance of private giving becomes more significant
as we try to do better with less. The vision of the College
has not changed, and your gift to your academic program or
the College will provide the “margin of distinction” which
makes the difference between OU being a good university and
a great university.
