Minnis, Professor of Anthropology
Paul Minnis received his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan in 1981. He is currently a professor of anthropology and has interests in archaeology; cultural ecology; ethnobotany; prehistory biodiversity; sociocultural evolution; North America; southwest United States; and northern Mexico. His current projects include a long-term collaborative research on Casas Grandes; study of prehistoric human/environment interactions, especially the role of archaeology in issues of anthropolgenic ecology; biodiversity; and global change.
He has published numerous books and articles, including Ethnobotany: A Reader, People and Plants in Ancient Western North American, People and Plants in Ancient Eastern North America and Social Adaptation to Food Stress: A Prehistoric Southwest Example (Prehistoric Archeology and Ecology).
