Kinney-Sugg Outstanding Professor Award Given to Charles Kenney

The fifth recipient of the Kinney-Sugg Outstanding Professor Award was surprised by Dean Paul B. Bell Jr. and Department of Political Science department chair Greg Russell on Tuesday during his class with the news that he received the Kinney-Sugg Award. Kenney will receive a plaque and a check for $5,000 in recognition of his dedication to the art of teaching. Kenney was recognized at the Fall Faculty Meeting on Tuesday afternoon.

A&S in DC – Dean Paul B. Bell Jr. and the Washington, D.C.-area members of the A&S Board of Visitors invite you to attend an alumni reception at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Marriott at Metro Center, 775 12th Street NW.  In addition to hearing Dean Bell’s “state of the college” remarks, our reception will feature comments from Alphonso Maldon, A&S alumnus and senior vice president of the Washington Nationals Baseball Club.  You can register online by 5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 9 to attend the free program.
