Carl Pendleton to Address Winter Graduates at A&S Convocation

Starting defensive tackle for the OU Sooners and soon-to-be-graduate Carl Pendleton will address graduates at the A&S Winter Convocation to be held on Saturday, Dec. 16.

Pendleton will graduate with a baccalaureate degree in sociology and a minor in religious studies. He is the recent recipient of an $18,000 National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame and is nominated for the FedEx Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award to be announced at the end of the 2006 season. He serves as the president of the OU Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is active with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Dean Paul Bell and the faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences extend a cordial invitation to December graduates, their families and friends to participate in the college’s Convocation ceremony scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 16,  at 1 p.m. in the Lloyd Noble Center ,
2900 Jenkins Ave.

Graduates should enter at the West Upper Concourse of the Lloyd Noble Arena to line up for the processional.
