Planning for a career after graduation is an important step for students, and the following information should prove helpful. More and more companies are interested in hiring Arts and Sciences graduates each year.

Internships, co-op opportunities, job planning and placement – Every student who seeks a job after graduation should register at OU’s Career Services Office for expert help with career exploration, resume preparation, career fairs, mock interviews, on-campus interviews, internships and coops, Web-based resume postings and Web-based job postings. Through a unique partnership between the college and Career Services, students in A&S do not have to pay an extra fee to use the services.

Arts and Sciences Career Planning Class (CAS 4091) – This class is open to juniors and seniors in the College of Arts and Sciences, and offers a comprehensive approach to career exploration and a successful job search. Students enrolled may receive a Career Services fee waiver.

The Next Step – A career guidebook specifically for Arts and Sciences students, you can access it on-line or pick up a copy from the Hobson Academic Services Center in Ellison Hall, from Career Services at the Union, your academic advisor or your academic departmental office.
