Number Awarded - 1 to 2

Minimum Amount - $1,200, based on financial need

Criteria - Applicants must have achieved junior or senior status and will be classified as a senior the following academic year for which the scholarship award will apply.  Applicants must have a major course of study in Social Work, Political Science or History and show high academic achievement and demonstrate leadership ability.  In addition, applicants must have earned a GPA of 3.25 or above, demonstrate a plan for use of his/her education in a public service career, and show proficiency in written and oral communication.  Applicants must show financial need.  An essay and interview are required.  Please refer to the scholarship application instructions for information on the completion and submission of the application materials.
