Criteria -
The Leadership Scholars Program recognizes undergraduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences who have a meritorious record of academic achievement by earning a GPA of 3.50 or above and demonstrating university or community service. The program is made up of 75 participants, with 20 chosen annually from the incoming sophomore class. Juniors and Seniors may remain in the program if they earn the number of points required. New juniors and seniors will be selected as needed. Participants will attend monthly meetings to discuss leadership training, campus resources, graduate programs, career opportunities and current issues, with special guest speakers and interact with mentors. Applicants who are selected for the Leadership Scholars Program with a demonstrated financial need may be awarded a scholarship. An essay and interview are required.
