American Humanics

American Humanics is a national alliance of universities and nonprofit organizations which offers an innovative course of study that equips college and university students to become skilled professionals and leaders in America's nonprofit organizations.

Upon completion of the program, you'll receive the highly respected American Humanics Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership.

 

Step to earning an American Humanics Nonprofit Leadership Certification:

1. Earn a minor in Nonprofit Organizational Studies

Required Courses:
COMM 2613 – Public Speaking
CAS 3033 – Managing the Nonprofit Organization
CAS 4033 – Managing the Nonprofit Organization II

Any 3 of the following with at least 1 upper division:
B AD 2110 – Topics in Business for Nonmajors
COMM 3243 – Communication and Social Change
H R 3013 – Introduction to Human Relations
H R 4990 – Grant Writing
MGT 2013 – Introduction to Management
MKT 2013 – Introduction to Marketing
MKT 3013 – Principles of Marketing
PHIL 3273 – Ethics and Business
P SC 3253 – Human Resource Management
SOC 3683 – Wealth, Power, and Prestige
Other courses as approved by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences

2. Intern at a nonprofit organization

3. Attend the annual American Humanics Management Institute

4. Participate in the OUAH Student Association and other special events
