Description: This is a course for the Human Relations undergraduate curriculum counting as a current problems elective. Readings, work, evaluative online discussion, independent research and written reflections are integral parts of the course. Each student is required to complete sixty hours for the work experience /service learning project in an assigned setting and work constructively with other students/personnel in the field. Students apply learning from previous courses to this work experience / project. The service-learning that takes place will be grounded in relevant HR literature in theory research and practice. The challenge for students is to translate formal classroom knowledge into useful forms in community settings.
