This low magnification image of a section from the human penis shows the urethra, lined by pseudostratified epithelium, surrounded by the corpus spongiosum. The latter is composed of irregular cavernous spaces lined by endothelium and containing blood. Darkly stained glands of Littre can be seen at the bottom left.
Stain = H&E.
